Mother's Day is a good activity that children can pay respect to their mothers.
But some children does not have or stay with their mothers. They may feel sad in this day.

Hmm, this topic is quite sensitive to some kids or some conservatives. Personally, this event shouldn't be held at schools.
Since I've known the event until now, I still got confused about it. What is the purpose of this event? Everyone kept telling me that this event was held to show that kids must respect their mothers, but the fact is that there was only one student (the Class President) who was firmly chosen could bring his/her mother to school. What! So other students? In my view, this event taught unfairness to kids. Moreover, this event was indirectly used to be a stage of someone's mother to show off her power which she had in that area.

This is a sensitive and complicated topic. I think schools should have Mother's Day anyway. It's a tradition. The only thing seems to be a problem is that some kids have no mothers and what schools do is to concentrate on Mother-and-children meeting too much. That's sad. Some kids having no mothers get hurt watching other mothers and children hugging each other.
My school has Mother's Day. And what it does is it just invites Best Mother of the year to the stage..only one mother, of course. That is a better way to deal with the problem above.

This is kinda sensitive topic because we all know that Mother's day is like a tradition for Thai people. Most schools (or all schools) have Mother's day ceremony and have students pay respect to their moms on the stage. Somehow, this can be mean to some students who don't have a mother or who don't live with their mom. They may feel sad seeing the others hug and kiss their mom.

The mother's day is kept for long time in Thai culture. I think it depends on how people think about it. For some students who have no mother in that day might be so sad. The school should think about this so careful.

For me, shouldn't have mother's day in school. 12th of August is a birthday of the Queen of King Rama the ninth who we regard to be a mother of the nation. It is kind of a commercial day for me. The activity of the mother's day that should be held at the school is just only to pay respect to the Queen of King Rama the ninth because it is her birthday. There shouldn't be an invitation to mothers to be at school to get Wai from their children. In my view, It is quite wrong for the massage that is delivered from this activity to the children. It seems like we are teaching them to pay respect to their mothers just only in mother's day and in my experience, I haven't ever had a mother to be in this activity. You should think of student who haven't gotten a mother. It really cuts their hearts.
